Sales is one of the most recruited roles in France, but also one of the most competitive. Companies receive hundreds of CVs for each position. The difference between a CV that passes and one that stays in the pile? Numbers. A salesperson without metrics on their CV is like a seller without a pitch — it convinces no one.
Expert tip
In sales, numbers are king. A sales recruiter wants to see concrete results: revenue generated, percentage of targets achieved, client portfolio size. Without numbers, your CV looks like everyone else's.

These skills are the most searched by recruiters and ATS systems for this role.
'Business development' is vague. 'Developed a portfolio of 45 B2B accounts, generating €1.2M annual revenue (+35% vs previous year)' is convincing. For each experience, ask yourself: what measurable result did I achieve? Revenue, number of clients, conversion rate, team ranking.
ATS systems at sales companies often filter by CRM tool. If you know Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive or another CRM, mention it explicitly in your skills section AND in your experience descriptions ('Tracked 200 prospects via Salesforce, 22% conversion rate').
Sales recruiters love an upward trajectory. If you progressed from field rep to area manager to sales director — make it visually stand out. Even without a promotion, show how your results improved year over year.
